Not all Olive Oils are created equal

October 7, 2013

This is the brand I am currently looking for here in Singapore

Particularly this product line from the same family business:

Specially this particulary Olive Oil as it is supposed to be NEwly harvested

If I cannot find a good deal in Singapore.. I would buy Cobram Estate Premiere (2013 Harvest) from here:

Castillo de Canena has also been making a “first day of harvest” line for seven years, capturing with these special oils the essence of the new harvest. They choose a different celebrity every year to design the image of the product, though the bottle is usually red. This year the star is none other than Alejandro Sanz…his label artwork, an olive tree adorned with words, is a representation of all the work that goes into creating the liquid gold.

I thought I already know how to buy the best olive oil

– must be stored in dark bottles

– it should be green in color and not yellow/gold

– should not smell and taste rancid

And I never buy these brands of Olive oil which — specially for liver flushing.

NO! NO! DONT BUY THEM SPECIALLY FOR LIVER FLUSHING
– Bertolli
– Star
– Colavita
– Carpelli

Only to find out there are still a lot of things I do not know…read more here:
